I registered on your website for the sole purpose to say that I'm behind you guys 100%. You found a way to kill a seemingly unkillable boss and did it. The Euro-babies kept crying and were rewarded despite a history of using cheese tactics (as you boldly stated in your original post). I also registered for the sole purpose of support, and congratulations. In my humble opinion you should be applauded for solving the puzzle of the unkillable boss. No matter what Ensidia says, you found and successfully executed the exploit before they did, so in my opinion, it is still a world first.

All I can say is watch Ensidia with a fine come on everything they do and bring it up in the future every time they exploit.

Exodus is absolutely right in this case... While what they did might of not been 'right' what Ensidia did was even worse, when they have been known to use exploits in the past as well to get by encounters the first time. I think the 72 hour ban was uncalled for, the most action that should of been taking is that the items should of been removed and the achievements as well..

I really wanted this kill to be legitimate. I was really rooting for Exodus on this one, but I wish you guys had come forward instead of cheating and then lying about it. If you consider spellstealing a buff an exploit, then at least Ensidia was upfront about their use of said exploit.

You guys lost my respect, and every time you guys kill a boss from now on, people will always second-guess the kill and always say to themselves, "Remember that time...". As an American, you guys give Americans a bad name. I always assumed America stood for having the opportunity to work your way up honestly, but I guess I was wrong.

Alright I'll handle this argument like i do the children at camp because that seems the be the level of maturity most warcraft players are at, their children would be so proud of them. Yes Exodus was wrong not to be upfront about the exploit, but hell i seriously doubt most people put in your situation would speak out. Go out and try to find someone who is entirely honest 100% of the time i really doubt you could. Ensidia themselves exploit game mechanics for fights and are they completely truthful about how they achieve kills. True, admirable honesty would have required Ensidia to after using exploits, which as said before out side the realm of the fight ie the flower power,contact blizz say listen this achievement was not legit take it back and the bonus loot and fix the damn game. I mean hell i remember back in the onyxia days range would stand on the shelf which was only accessible by jumping at this one particular part of the wall. Was it an exploit? Probably, but did it stop me and countless other raiders from using it? Not a chance. This is why Exodus is pissed, and whining or according to some. I doubt so much it was caused because they were caught or punished, but because other hypocritical guilds threw a bitch fit other it and equally hypocritical blizz picks and chooses how they punish like the game gods they are. Hell i too would be pissed if I was in that situation.

Here is the ultimate kicker in all of this drama. None of it matters because in i say around two months maybe less a new raid will come out with shockingly new achievements and world firsts to attain. Now kiddies do you also know what else? That is correct, none of this matters. In the end, this is simply a game. If WoW came to dominate the globe and be the deciding factor in international relations, then I might understand someone getting in a huff about "world first kills", but luckily considering the immaturity of most of the players thank god it is not, then again considering the sorry state of political leaders in the world it might not be that far of a drop. Now to all of those who might try to compare this to major sporting events, go to a mall and randomly poll how many people know who the patriots are now ask how many people who Exodus is.

Basically what everyone should take away is: Exodus you are wrong for stooping to their to Ensidia's level and bash them, but you are right to call for equality across and be pissed about the warcraft community. Enisidia is wrong to throw such a public hissyfit. Blizzard is wrong to be biased in their actions. Everyone who is so emotionally invested in this drama, but not directly part of either guild should be ashamed, including me but im still in college the fact that my mind is not solely focused on beer and ass is impressive, seriously this is just a game there are more serious issues in the world turn on CNN, MSNBC, or FoxNews and take a look (o wait they just care about Michael Jackson's death). This is a game twenty years from now no one will care.

I haven't loved WoW's R&D forums this much in such a long time. Thank you for not spilling the beans early. The drama and crying was too good to end. In the end this affects no one. Not me, not ensidia, not even you guys. 72 hours is nothing.

Flower power was not an exploit. If mages can spellsteal buffs it is for a reason. You say that this "exploit" got them ahead of other guild thanks to 239 items. Well actually by changing hodir HM to 3mn they probably helped most guilds. But then again this is my point of view.
On the other hand i completly agree with the mimiron exploit which in my opinnion is bannable. I guess it hapenned to long ago huh?

after the kill, people were asked to say nothing at all on the matter. We didnt really know how blizz would act so we thought silence was best. In retrospect I think it was a good decision. Some people let a few things slip however, some true some not.

I was suprised that Ensidia's world first mimiron hard mode was legit, those machines you get into before mimiron can actually be used on him. You can kite all of them so you get 5+ minutes on each robot, then you exit them on the first black strip of the platform leading up to the train, then get back in.

ensidia used that w/e flower buff so they wouldn't fall behind in algalon race, but you know what they should've done was done some other hard mode instead of exploiting one that they did have to do then, they had a perfect window of time to get the achiev, other guilds got it but they passed it up.

Tbh the 3 day "ban" is more than likely only to suspend the accounts to clean shit off of them. Mount/achievements/gear from the kill. It happened twice in WotLk. The exploit in Storm Peaks that allowed hundreds of dwarfs to be spawned and the reflective shield exploit in OS.

On both occasions, very close friends of mine, were "banned" for 72 hours, only to come back without the items/titles/achievements they got while doing the exploit. In fact, in the case of the Storm Peak exploit, all they took were the Relics of Ulduar and left all of the looted gold/cloth/greens/blues/etc. (Someone even kept ..of the Nightfall title where others involved lost theirs).

That being said, the greatest part about both of those issues, the people involved got credited 3 days play time because they weren't banned at all, they just needed to have their accounts suspended in order to be cleaned out.

The main thing in all this was the e-peen lieing after the kill. They obviusly knew that they would get cought with it(if not by the video/logs, by blizz).

Yet their thirst for 5 min of e-fame was that big that they lied about the perfect execution and incredible luck + bashing other guilds on how superior they are. Ensidia could have found that the Pollinate buff was spellstealable, and immediately reported to Blizzard "we are worried that this buff could be spell stolen to exploit many of the hardest encounters in Ulduar; it should be addressed immediately."

Instead they USED it, then reported it. Net effect: they kept all gear, achievements, Hodir's sigil, and ensured no one else could copy their tactic, thereby guaranteeing them a lead. They then posted why they were forced to cheat on their site. No punitive action taken by Blizzard.

I don't know how you can not call that cheating. It doesn't make Exo's recent actions excusable, but pretending Ensidia are somehow the Gods of Virtue means you are blinded by patriotism or stupidity. Or both.

Ensidia brought a buff from another part of the instance to defeat an otherwise unbeatable hard-mode timer.

You caused the entire part of yogg +0's difficulty to evade bug on purpose.

"My personal take on the matter is that if Blizzard thought that spellstealing the flower buff and using it on hodir (very similar to the mindcontrol + firebuff almost everyone used in Molten Core) was an exploit, we would've been punished just the same. I still believe that the Hodir kill we did is the hardest one done to this date, since you not only had to kill Hodir, you had to keep spellstealing the adds in a rotation with the mages, have an extra tank keeping aggro on the flowers, and keep high dps on the big flower as well for it to regain spellstealable buffs. Then add the whole aggro issue and pingponging and it's possibly the 2nd hardest fight I've done in Ulduar - something we did with less than half a second left on the timer. I'm not trying to glorify it, we did use a solution that wasn't intended in the first place, but in my (and blizzards) eyes we didn't exploit. "
Clearly our exploiting was not carefully thought out and planned. We should have taken hours of positioning, strategiszng, and planning to achieve our victory. Our fault was in killing the boss in the next attempt, instead of glorifying it into a hard thought out strategy that required hours of planning and execution. That's the difference between the exploits, we just didn't put enough time into ours. At least we know what to do next time! Oh, and having game developers on our speed dial might help too :X

By the way, if you watch the real heals received by Munken in his portrait next to his health bar each time he attacks, you can see he is only healed once each time.

Also, this is the formula for Judgment of Light: Unleashes the energy of a Seal spell to judge an enemy for 20 sec, granting attacks made against the judged enemy a chance of healing the attacker for [0.10 * SPH + 0.10 * AP]. Refer to individual Seals for additional Judgement effect. Only one Judgement per Paladin can be active at any one time.

Therefore, unless a HOLY paladin and a RETRIBUTION paladin have the EXACT SAME attack power and spell power, they would not be healing for the same amount. At last glance, Mackster has 2516 SP, and Zemme has 4500 AP.
