Our guild is currently working on Kil'Jaeden, but we can seem to keep everyone alive. we get right on the cusp of phase 4, but something happens and we dont make the dps goal of 54% because we loose people. If anyone could answer some of my questions it would greatly be appreciated.

1. What kind of setup do you bring in to heal and assignments for them.

2. how do you handle the reflections? we use a Pallidan tank to pick up all 4, but we have run into issues. if they are casters he has a hard time getting them and bringing them to KJ. We use locks to seed them down, but that doesnt seem to always work either.

3. what kind of setup do you have for shield orbs. we do fine for the most part but when they start spawning multiples 1 will go down and the other will be left around 10% still shooting.

4. how do you handle Flame Darts and Fire Blooms? this seems to be a big problem for healers to keep everyone up. also ppl seem to have a hard time collapsing because of the slow flame darts give.

I think there are more questions, but any answers will help.

Thanks,
Frobulator <Steel Talon Knights> <US-Frostwolf>

1) I like to call our healing for this fight the 2/2/2/1, basically its 7 healers 2 of each type, except 1 of any one.

The type of healing I like is 2 resto druids, 2 resto shamans, 2 holy priests and 1 holy pally. We always have a holy pally on our feral druid tank (who is highest threat on KJ, and standing on the opposite side of the raid. We have resto druids on the very edge of the groups and they each heal everything they can in their range. The reason pallies and resto druids are best on the sides is they can freedom or shift out of a snare, in case bad flame darts happen and they need to move quickly into the shield. We have our holy priests in the middle, and they generally circle spam on the clump, and do a lot of pom, renew and flash spam when we are in position. Shamans are placed randomly according to their groups so everyone in their groups get totems.

2) For reflections we have 3 tanks. Me (prot warriot), i pick up the first one, skull it to be killed first. We don't aoe, we focus fire them. We then have a feral druid who is DPS on KJ pick up 2 of them, marking them in order to be killed, and our feral druid who tanks KJ picks up 1 and drags it to the melee to be killed (usually last). If it is still up when KJ begins beaming again, it is taunted off him by the second feral druid and killed. (Note: You can get the casters to move by interrupting their casts, so use that to help the feral druid drag to KJ.)

3) For orbs, we have our dps in the best position possible: IE: able to shoot as many orbs as possible when the spawn and for as long as possible. You have to work with this a little bit, but I find that the central (aside from the holy priests) is the best place to put your ranged dps - warlocks, mages, BM hunters, etc. And we call it out as much as possible on vent for spawns and to get ready for spawns.

4) Flame darts should never really be an issue because your raid SHOULD be haste breathed 95% of the time. However there are some bad darts, so to counter this on the ends of the half circle where we are spead out we put classes who can really move quickly. For example good people to put far away from the shield stack spot are mages (blink), druids (shift out of snare), and paladins (bof).

This is our first kill video: http://files.filefront.com/ExodusKTKJavi/;10431206;/fileinfo.html - Our strat hasn't changed much if it all since then. It is rogue PoV and you can how we setup for the most part.

One other note for when you get there: A shadow protection pot @ around 35% is a life saver.

Ask more if you are confused.

Cika could you show Tyngo how to use fraps so we can show their rogues how to properly dps on KJ? Just a thought.
